There are some places on this earth that seem like they were crafted with special occasions in mind, and Morningside Inn is undoubtedly one of them. A recent wedding we shot there, for the incredible couple Kelly & Patric, showcased the venue's exquisite charm.
From the onset, the building at Morningside Inn leaves you in awe. Its classic and timeless architecture stands as a testament to the beauty that lies within its walls. But it's not just the beauty of the building itself. Morningside has multiple levels that seamlessly play host to various parts of a wedding celebration. From cocktail hour where guests mingle and share laughter, to a divine dinner setting that offers a view, every corner of this venue adds to the day's magic.
The Bridal Party
Morningside Inn stands as a beacon of versatility and charm, making it an exceptional choice for bridal party photos. Its meticulously designed spaces are a harmonious blend of nature and architecture, ensuring that every shot feels like a masterpiece in the making. One particularly notable spot is the terrace. With its sprawling vistas and ambient lighting, the terrace provided the ideal backdrop for group shots, making the bridal party look like they've stepped straight out of a fairytale.
The side areas, too, are beautifully designed, lending themselves effortlessly to individual portraits, with each frame capturing the essence and personality of the subject. One of the practical challenges on a wedding day is ensuring the bride's gown remains pristine, especially before the main event. Morningside Inn, with its thoughtful layout, had us covered. We were keen on avoiding the grass to ensure the bride's dress remained spotless till after the ceremony. Thankfully, the venue is so abundant in its photographic spots that this wasn't a limitation at all. Instead, it allowed us to get even more creative, taking full advantage of each nook and cranny. Every angle of Morningside Inn exudes beauty, ensuring that the photos not only capture the moment but also the enchanting atmosphere of the venue.
Morningside Inn’s Standout Features
One of Morningside Inn’s standout features has to be the terrace, which serves as an idyllic backdrop for ceremonies. As if painted by nature's very hand, the terrace looks out to a tranquil view. And on the day of Kelly & Patric's wedding, we were truly blessed. The weather was nothing short of perfect - a warm, gentle breeze, clear blue skies, and golden sunlight.
The Morningside grounds are any photographer's dream. Filled with numerous spots that look straight out of a fairytale, both inside and out, every nook and cranny tells a different story. I had a field day capturing the raw, authentic moments, and the backdrop just amplified the magic.

The reception was such a heartwarming highlight of the wedding! Set in a delightful blend of classy vibes with a touch of fun, this venue was an absolute gem. Having been to so many places with my camera, I must say this one held its own special charm. The dance floor? Oh, it was just waiting for everyone to hop on and make memories that'll be talked about for years!
Now, here's a little photographer's secret - those lower ceilings? They were the unsung heroes of the evening! It might seem like a small thing, but in the photography world, it's pure gold.
They allowed us to play around with our lighting, bouncing our flashes in a way that flooded the room with this beautifully soft glow. So every dance move, every shared smile, and even those spontaneous, goofy moments were captured in the best light (pun intended!).
The photos? They turned out to be pure magic. Imagine the happiness of the night, the stunning outfits, and the sparkling eyes of the guests, all brought out perfectly.
