Hey, I'm Aidan
I'm a Marine Corps veteran turned full-time wedding photographer, and I'm here to make sure your big day is captured in all its candid, fun, and romantic glory. I've carried over my creativity from the Marine Corps to every wedding I shoot, roughly 30 or more a year. I've been shooting professionally since 2017. It's been an amazing ride these past five years, and I am so grateful for all the beautiful couples that have trusted me with their perfect day.
From Fixing Fighter Jets to Capturing Couples
I grew up in rural Virginia, in a county that had more farm animals than people. I made my escape by joining the Marines shortly after high school and served as an Aviation Ordnanceman on the FA/18 Aircraft. In 2015, on my last deployment, I picked up a camera and started documenting the last few months we had in the Middle East. As fate would have it, I fell in love with photography, and it quickly became an obsession. After getting out of the Marines, I dived into learning everything I could about photography and filmmaking. I soon found myself working on commercial projects and film productions. This immersive time allowed me to grow exponentially in the craft.
Fast-forward to 2017, my first wedding was for a friend I met on a clothing brand campaign we had worked on in Los Angeles together. She asked if I'd have any interest in capturing her day as her budget was zero. I had shot a number of events at that point, but weddings were still foreign to me. I saw her wedding as the perfect opportunity to cut my teeth in the wedding industry. Having never second shot for any other photographers, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I studied every wedding blog I could find, made a shot list, readied my gear and shot one of the most fun weddings I've captured to date. I was hooked. I couldn't believe people would invite me to their best party, and let me do what I love most by capturing it. Every day I'm so thankful for the opportunities I've had in growing this career.
Starting and growing my wedding photography business has been incredibly rewarding. I've met and served so many amazing couples and families. I've captured thousands of real moments; I'm there for the nerves, the tears, the laughter and dance. Being able to capture and document these incredible moments month after month, I've yet to grow tired of it.
So yea, that's my short and sweet story. From fixing aircraft in the Marines to weekly professional people watching, I've loved every second of it! I can't wait to learn more about you and your partner, and hopefully become an extension of your wedding party. Till then!
